BA(Hons) Graphic Design
The BA(Hons) Graphic Design is a two year programmefor students who have successfully completed a relevant HND. The degree is taught at Glasgow Clyde College, Cardonald Campus and validated by the University of West of Scotland. This builds upon previous studies at HND level and combines practical training and theoretical knowledge with skills in critical reflection and creative practice. This programme is highly recommended for students interested in working as a designer within the graphics industry.

We offer a highly successful course covering all areas of the design profession, that include lots of creative design briefs along with technical tutorials that enable you to grow your skills and expertise. It is our aim to grow your creativity and confidence as a graphic designer and to ensure that you are employment ready.
The HND Graphic Design course contains a varied mix of units, which are mainly project-based and practical, with a strong emphasis on the design process and sketchbook work.
By the end of our HND Graphics course you will have the knowledge and a portfolio to pursue a career in graphic design or the chance to progress onto our extremely successful BA(Hons) Graphic Design course.
70% of our students progressed to graphic design courses at university last year. 75% of Glasgow Clyde BA students gained employment in the sector, many securing employment before graduation.
Advancement from HNC to HND is not guaranteed and is dependent on suitable progression through course work as well as satisfactory attendance, timekeeping and commitment.
NQ Graphic Design
Creative ideas are at the heart of our NQ Graphics course. Through sketchbook work and following the design process on different briefs you will gain an introduction to the practice of graphic design.
On the course we cover units involving the study of typography, digital imaging, packaging, advertising, illustration and magazine design.
This year long course provides an ideal foundation for those who wish to progress to the HNC/D Visual Communication Graphic Design for Print & New Media
